  • Michigan Association of Planning

The Michigan Association of Planning – a combination of the former Michigan Society of Planning Officials and the Michigan Chapter of the American Planning Association – is an organization dedicated to promoting sound community planning that benefits the residents of the state. Members receive the monthly Michigan Planner newsletter which focuses on timely issues and highlights studies of Michigan communities.   • Michigan Municipal League

The Michigan Municipal League (MML) is the Michigan association of cities and villages. MML is a nonpartisan organization working through cooperative effort to strengthen the quality of municipal government and administration by providing technical assistance and information to local officials regarding municipal issues; improving the training and education of these officials; preserving the home rule philosophy of municipal government, and creating a greater public understanding of municipal responsibilities, governance, and administration.   • Michigan Townships Association

The Michigan Townships Association is a non-profit organization formed to provide a unified voice for Michigan's township governments. Through its website, seminars, publications, county chapters, written communication, telephone calls, monthly electronic newsletters and legislative faxes, MTA keeps members informed of current township issues. Publications include Capitol Currents, which is a legislative newsletter for Michigan’s Township Officials; E-News – a monthly electronic newsletter; and Michigan Township News, the official township government magazine published 11 times a year.   • Planning Commissioners Journal (PCJ)

The Planning Commissioners Journal is the nation's principal publication designed for citizen planners, including members of local planning commissions and zoning boards.   • Planning & Zoning News

Since it was first founded in 1982, the Planning & Zoning Center, Inc. has published the only state-specific monthly magazine on planning and zoning issues in the entire country. Planning and Zoning News offers its subscribers a summary of recent case law, attorney general opinions, pending legislation, practical guidance on typical planning and zoning issues, information on a variety of new publications, training opportunities, conferences and notices, and a feature story on an issue of contemporary interest.
