PZC is active in the production of publications to help local officials, stakeholders, legislators and citizens foster sound land use policy and make wise land use decisions. These include helpful guidebooks, research reports and other documents. Among the publications currently available from PZC are:
- Michigan Zoning Guidebook, which provides the context for 2006 statutory changes, an overview of the changes, the new, and other proposed and pending legislation that could affect the practice of local planning and zoning. Click here to order the guidebook.
- Smart Growth Facilitation Guidebook. This guidebook is intended to help facilitators of communities engaged in the Smart Growth Readiness Assessment, an online tool for single or multiple communities to gauge themselves on how well they are following, or prepared to follow the ten Tenets of Smart Growth. - Land Policy Institute Publications. The Land Policy Institute Report Series provides a conduit for scientists and Extension practitioners at Michigan universities to communicate their path breaking work to professional peer institutions, policymakers and other constituents at the local, state and national level.
